You may have some basic questions about what it means to be a cruise musician. Do you have to be able to do other things on the ship? Do you get to enjoy the facilities the ship offers? Those who join a crew as cruise ship entertainers are not required to do any other tasks while on the ship – you will have to help with safety drills which can take place once or twice a cruise. You are welcome to use areas such as the gym at non-peak hours although there are restrictions about the pool and guest rooms. You will be paid in US dollars and will have to declare the amount for taxes.
